Voting Wolf Pack Community Howl: How Should We Safeguard and Improve Our Elections?

Wednesday, October 7th, 2020 from 1:00pm to 2:30pm (PT)

About

What is a Community Howl?  It’s a chance for interested faculty, students, and staff members to have a deliberative discussion (small group structured conversation with a facilitator) about issues that impact our community.  It is not a debate—we aren’t looking for winning sides or partisan talking points. We create a dialogue experience that brings varied perspectives together in one place. We use guides from the National Issue Forums to help guide these dialogues.

Many Americans are concerned about the integrity of US elections. Recent surveys show that a majority of voters lack confidence in the fairness and honesty of the electoral process and a growing number worry about its safety and security.

Join us to talk about voting and these three options within the guide: 1. Increase Voter Participation 2. Protect the Integrity of Voting 3. Change the Rules to Make Elections More Fair.
