Had an amazing time volunteering for Winona LaDuke! She was very inspiring and knowledgeable in Indigenous based economic polices, tribal wellness and leadership! Would definitely attend again!
The Food Is Medicine event, held at UNR, Was amazing and well thought out! Both of the indigenous Chefs Lois Ellen Frank And Walter Whitewater were very knowledgeable in traditional indigenous foods/ Native agricultural food practices! I would love to attend next years event if they come again!
I was able to volunteer for the the JustInHope Foundation, Classic Car show and I had such a great time! A few of the other NSSLHA girls and I were able to help the organization by directing the car traffic within the event and helping people set up their vehicle spots.
I attended the succulent event at UNR for NSSLHA in September, and it was such a fun event! We put together succulent plants and hung out with the other group members. It was great opportunity for me to meet students in our same educational field.
I really enjoyed my self working with the children and their parents at the JUSTin Hope foundation. The kids were all very kind and kept me on my toes!
