I had so much fun handing out medals to runners of all ages. I was great seeing so many faces who support education as well as the mascots who represent the children of education.
I had a great time learning about the cause for CASA as well as supporting its values by face painting and offering glitter tattoos.
Super cold but quick and fun! I helped direct people on the course and cheered for everyone who had the enthusiasm to wake up so early and run a 5K!
It was an amazing time not only learning the process of how to make glasses by using specific equipment to create the lens and transplant them in the frames but it was also great finding yet another way to help my community. I made so many new friends along the way who made the 10 hour shifts flew by fast. My fingertips were numb by the end of the day however, it gave me a glimpse of how many people need these kinds of services and the amount of poverty that reside in the Reno area.
