This was my first time going to the JSAN Japanese Festival. Though through photos and videos I've seen of previous festivals, the event seems like a lot of fun, it was not as fun for volunteers. I know that we are working, but for many, it was very exhausting. There was a power outage so the food booths were out for a large portion of the time. Because of this, both volunteers and guests got frustrated from being hungry and then from longer wait times to get their orders because the food was being made away from the booth where they was electricity. It was lucky that I brought a water bottle because I was very hungry and thirsty. There were also many guests at our yukata booth. While I was very happy that many people were excited to try them on, all of the girls at our table were overwhelmed and exhausted by the end of the day. There was no organization and many visitors were not paying tickets to us. I was just helping put on the yukata, so I didn't notice until the very end. For the amount of people in the crowd there wasn't nearly the right amount of tickets in our jar. While I had fun with putting yukata on my friends and taking photos, it was very stressful. I'm happy that most of the guests had fun though.
