I attended the Nevada Health Conference in Las Vegas. I participated in many different sessions including developing effective vaccine communications, building bridges with community health workers, advocating for health: getting your message to the media, addressing the social determinants of health, and coalition building. I also networked and built connections with Healthcare professionals. What an awesome experience!

I attended our October monthly meeting. In this meeting ambassadors signed up for our Instagram takeover where ambassadors will post about how they are making health happen in their daily lives. We also discussed Project Prevent including how it went at Hug High school and improvements that will be made to the curriculum. Upcoming events for October and November were also discussed.
Our first Student Ambassador meeting for Fall semester! Got to introduce our social media takeover, go over ambassador socials, and introduce Slack. Looking forward to a great semester with many new members.
Tabled at the Club Fair on campus representing High Sierra AHEC. Talked to multiple peers about our student ambassador program, what we have to offer and why they should join!
It was awesome to see so many students, faculty, and people from the community come to this event to gain knowledge about different issues regarding health and health outcomes. A lot of people who attended had nothing but great things to say!
