On Common Ground
I started researching into food insecurity in minority groups so that I will be able to write future blog posts about it to spread more knowledge about food insecurity.
Went and helped out with a tabling event at the NV Early Intervention Services for their Trick or Treat Day. I interacted with both parents and their children. I also had discussions with other resource groups that were at the event. This was a really fun event to table at.
I work more on the resource list calling possible resources, and editing the list.
I helped with preparing a salad to be brought to feed the homeless. Then went to the shelter on 4th street and helped with passing out food to the people.
I tabled at the WCSO Resource Fair giving resources out to the community and to the other groups that was also tabling at the event.
I attended a board meeting. During the meeting I joined in on conversations and volunteering for helping with some projects like crating the givepulse page for when the floors will be done, help to setup a online fundraising platform like GoFundMe, and to help create a carrot thermometer fundraising tracker which will be put on the window of the grocery store.
Continued contacting resource places adding contact information and bullet points of the places.
Continued work on the resource list. Called up places that will be on the resource list, updated information, and edited the list.
