Everyone was super nice and their ideas behind the Fashion Show are awesome. I would love to help out again!
When I first got there I wasn't sure where to go. Once I found the location for volunteers to check in, the coordinator at that booth told me to head in a certain direction and I should see people. I did that, and the building was completely empty. So I walked around until I could find someone who needed my help. Once I began actually helping I enjoyed it, meeting new people and laughing at the conversations we were having. Everyone was very kind, but it also seemed like no one had a firm grip on what was going on. This was my second year volunteering and I believe this wasn't as organized as the last. I liked that the volunteers were handed gloves to help move equipment. I will continue to help because I always love the outcome of this event, even if the beginning is a little rocky.
I guided the runners along the race path to make sure no one got lost while running. It was amazing to see all the people that participated. Most runners received some sort of medal for running and after the big run, they did a little kids run which I thought was awesome. After the races were finished there was free food for everyone, music playing, and booths set up to promote different organizations. This was very organized and detailed event and the people were very friendly. I enjoyed volunteering for this race.
