Planning for the service event "Climb into Easter."
We helped clean a house that assists the homeless and made food bags for them!
I sat in a room and ate lunch while a couple of kids came in and checked things out. Then at the end I handed out awards to the Science Olympiad winners. I didn't feel very helpful, but at the end eveyone was thanking me for my help so I don't know...
This project was more difficult than the last voter registration even that I did, because we had to actually do a presentation this time around. It was still fun, but it was hard to get the students engaged.
I helped make 3-4 blankets for the homeless and that made me feel really good!
I was able to walk around and help students who had questions/ were confused about the form. It was also a nice challenge to have to public speak in front of people who were younger than me. I felt like a leader. It also was a good feeling to know that I am a reason as to why we will have more voters this November!!
We created "Stay Strong" cards for the foundation to send to children with cancer, collected donations for the cause, and handed out gold ribbons signifying that people supported the movement.
Gathered names, emails, and phone numbers of people who supported NextGen's mission statement and who were interested in being active after the Woman's March.
