I got to work with four students directly and help them with the alphabet without the teacher needing to come my way and hover over me. She trusted me to help the kids and they seemed to have a good time.
I felt trusted by the teacher to help my own table of kids and I felt they had a good time learning the alphabet.
Love reading to the kids and making an impact on their literacy

I enjoyed this experience so much, and I'm excited to work on the committee for next year as well! It was a super fun experience, and I felt like I learned a lot about all aspects of event planning.
Lead SA responsibilities, which included meeting with Jordyn, meeting with Andraya (and Jordyn), editing PowerPoints before meetings, making a newsletter, contacting/getting in touch with other student ambassadors, and brainstorming ideas for the HS SA program in general.
The event was a lot of fun and we made a ton pf sandwiches. It makes me feel good to help the homeless get more food that's enjoyable.
Fun and sociable atmosphere
