PPHS room logistics with Jamille
This lesson went a lot more smoothly than Monday’s. As teachers we were more prepared for what we were up against with students not responding, and I think we dealt with behavior as well as linguistic obstacles a lot more thoroughly.
The students were a lot tougher than I think a lot of us were expecting, especially in regards to linguistic barriers. I’m not sure we were aware we would be working with people that can’t understand English very well. Regardless, we got the message across and it was a success. A very large growing moment for me, at least, as a teacher. This was great training for teaching in the future.
