Stem Education With Theta Tau @ Cannan Elementary School and Tutoring
Weekly bike shop service! I came around 2pm and worked with one of the transfer students here in Reno. It was awesome working with him, I got to teach him a few things about bikes. He says he was an engineer student and volunteered here to cater to his interest. We got through one bike though, but it was fun!

We helped managed Manzanita Park with the Kiwanis Club. I helped out rake some weeds out of the horse shoe area with Chris and replenish the dirt around the bed. Also, I raked some weeds out of the baseball field with the rest of the strong bros. The air was crisp and weather was fair, couldn't ask for more.
I also helped host the event for our club!
I volunteered with Kiwanis and we helped to beautify a neighborhood park. We helped pick up weeds and cleaned up the baseball fields. The kids that we were helping seemed to be enjoying the experience. Afterwards Kiwanis provided all that volunteered some well deserved food. I feel that Kiwanis is a great group to volunteer with. There's always a smile on their faces when you speak to them and they are always willing to help a hand. I am glad to have been able to help them help make a difference in our community.
This was a great experience with the Kiwanis group. A few brothers and I volunteered with Kiwanis to do a park clean up. We cleared a baseball field with weeds and then we also cleaned one of the parks mediums that had weeds on them as well.
Working with Circle K, me and other Lambda Psi Rho members helped make dog toys for local Reno shelters. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience to bond with both my brothers and circle K members. The toys we made were made from old shirts and other clothes that people donated or brought with them to the event.

I worked at the Kiwanis bike shop repairing bikes for two hours with the guidance of the shop employees. It was a rewarding experience to see old beat up bikes come back to life and bring smiles to new riders. I especially enjoyed talking with the workers there who were very helpful whenever i had a question.
Another Bike shop day! I'm yet to improve on the bikes, but that doesn't mean I wasn't productive! I got to talk to ellen about volunteer opportunities here in Reno. Idle Wild park was going to have a booth session about the Kiwanis Bike program. There's many more we talked about!
I had a really fun time playing blackjack knowing that I didn't have to gamble anything.
Casino night was very informational. I learned about gambling addiction and how it starts off very young and can exist in many forms.
Due to conflict of schedules, Comahig, Magalued and I had to do community service at different times this week. On April 5, 2017, I volunteered with Urban Roots from 12:30-2:30 P.M. I mostly pulled weeds and helped get the last of the cages off the rocks. Now all the rocks are placed without cages. I worked with Dave who does most of the work in Urban Roots.

Park clean up with Kiwanis bike shop and circle k
For this volunteer experience, my fraternity and I cleaned up a local park in town along with Key Clubbers from Reed High School and Circle K members. We were given the task of taking out dirt and weed on the baseball field and the island in the middle of the street across from the park. It was very tedious since there were a lot to pull and pick up, but this community service made me realize that people need to come together if they want their neighborhood park to remain attracting to kids and people. Not only that, parks are community projects and that it should just be maintained in general. This volunteer experience is both a fun way to hang out with your friends. Lastly, it is very rewarding knowing that you're doing something meaningful for our planet and that you're giving back to the community you belong in.
