SPCA of Northern Nevada

Established in 1998, the SPCA of Northern Nevada (SPCA-NN) offers quality adoptions, affordable spay/neuter, vaccinations and microchipping, and education programs. We strive to provide top level care for the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of our homeless pets while we find them loving homes. We focus on rural rescue partnerships to provide more underserved animals with the second chance they deserve.

Volunteer Opportunities:

-Adoption Center Basics
Our greatest need is having helping humans that aren’t afraid to get their hands a little dirty and help care for our pets.

If you’d like to volunteer at our Adoption Center please sign up for an Adoption Center Basics training here. All volunteers are required to complete 10 hours of animal care chores prior to training to work with the dogs and/or cats.

Once trained, even more awesome volunteer opportunities will become available to you like study with a buddy, cat café, adoption events, day trips, sleepovers, and more.

-Thrift Store Associate
Our second greatest need is having humans to help at our thrift store that generates 40% of our life saving revenue! No training required for this one, a GREAT place to complete last minute hours for academic purposes.

-Dog & Cat Socialization (comes after you complete Adoption Center Basics)
-Special Events (table at local fun events and represent our org)
-Vaccine Clinic Helper (help us run one of our most important community programs)

Register to become a volunteer & sign up for a training or to become a thrift store associate on our website here.
