Wolf Pack Community Howl – Engaging in collective deliberative conversation! We need 20 volunteer notetakers for our event.
ASUN and the Center for Student Engagement have partnered with Dr. Amy Pason and the UNR Communication Studies department to create a space focused on important national topics. These conversations will be facilitated with the use of National Issues Forms guides around topics that students selected in the Spring 2018 Campus wide Civic Engagement Survey. Over 4000 students responded to this survey and expressed a desire to learn more about issues and to be a part of the conversation.
A deliberative conversation is a process that promotes civil & productive dialogue that moves us toward understanding values and identifying potential common ground. This is not a debate. Rather, it is a facilitated process that allows us to consider options together, explore our concerns, and decide what is important to our community.
