Vote Power: HS Voter Registration

Tuesday, May 8th from 8:10am to Wednesday, May 9th, 2018 2:00pm

About

“Every election is determined by the people who show up.”
― Larry J. Sabato

Young voters have historically had the lowest turnout in elections. Empower other young voters to step up and use the power of their vote by registering them to vote!

The Center for Student Engagement will be taking volunteers to help register high school students at the Academy of Arts, Careers, and Technology.

Be a part of this non-partisan effort to build healthy voting habits in youth!

Key Responsibilities:
·       Registering high school students to vote.
·       Providing information to high school students about the voting process—this may include a short presentation and/or tabling (we will train volunteers and provide materials).
Attend a one-hour training on voter registration prior to going in to register students to vote. (If you’ve previously attended a training led by the Center for Student Engagement, please let us know.)

Please have your Washoe County School District Application Form and a copy of your driver's license turned into the Center for Student Engagement (3rd Floor of the Joe) by May 2nd to be eligible to volunteer.
