The 2017 Reno Jazz Festival promises to once again unite some of the finest jazz students, educators and professional musicians in the United States. Since its first year in 1962 (featuring five school groups), the Festival has grown considerably in size and stature, becoming one of the most highly regarded events of its kind in the world. As well as drawing competitors and artists from around the world, the Festival’s impact is widespread in the Western Region of the United States and the local community and is nationally recognized.
The festival takes place this year on the UNR campus on Friday April 28th, and Saturday April 29th, and volunteers are needed for both days.We have morning shifts from 7AM-1PM, afternoon shifts from noon-6PM, as well as all day shifts.
