About

Healthy Parks, Healthy People Day Helpers & 5K Run Aid
Saturday 4/8/2017 - 9AM at Bartley Ranch Regional Park

Event Details:
- This family-friendly event will include dozens of games and activities presented by local non-profit organizations and regional land management agencies, a 5k fun run/walk, and a free Kids Fun Run!
- The goal is to celebrate regional parks and public lands while promoting the concept that healthy parks and open spaces lead to healthy people. Participating organizations will have experts on-hand to help you and your family plan a summer of outdoor adventures.
This free event is aimed at inspiring families to recreate outdoors, helping people find new areas and activities to explore, and encouraging all around good health through environmental stewardship and community involvement.

Responsibilities:
- Help setup for both the adult run at 9AM, and the kids run at 10AM. We will need several parking attendants and track stewards to encourage the participants and cheer them on!
We'll need several registration attendants, snack & water attendants, as well as several floats.

- Arrive at 8:15am. Report to TMPF staff to sign-in. Receive instruction of volunteer duties. Report to designated position. If trail steward, find assigned location on map and report there by 8:25am or when instructed.

- If parking attendant, ensure safe and orderly parking of all attendees until about 9:45am when attendees aren't arriving as frequently. Take a 10minute break at about 9:00 and get some water or snack. Report back to parking position by 9:20 since the kids run will start at 10am.
