Upward Bound Professional Development Day - Mock Interviews

Hello Campus Leaders,

It is that time of the year again! We are recruiting volunteers for the Upward Bound Professional Development Day! We are seeking 75 volunteers to interview our Upward Bound high school sophomores on campus on Saturday, April 13, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. 

Volunteers will act as professional interviewers and complete one 30min mock interview with a student one-on-one.  Students have been practicing their professional interview skills all year and this will be an opportunity for them to rehearsal what they have learned.  

Volunteers will be provided with a job description, interview questions and an interview rubric in which they can provide helpful feedback to our students. Professional Development Day is an important component of our program. This experience helps UB students prepare for educational and career opportunities.

If you or your organization are available to volunteer as an interviewer/s at the UB Professional Development Day, please complete the following RSVP by Monday, April 8th. 

If you know of any other clubs/organization on-campus who may be interested in volunteering, please feel free to forward this information to them.

Saturday, April 13th from 9:45 – Noon 

9:45  – 10:00 A.M. – Volunteer Check-In 

10:15 – 10:30 A.M. – Instructions

10:30 – 11:00 A.M. – Pre-Interview Instructions & Materials

11:00 – 11:30 A.M. – Interviews

11:30 A.M. – Release Students for Lunch

11:30 – 12:00 P.M. – Complete Student Feedback Forms 

12:00 P.M. – Check-Out
